New York is holding its congressional primary today. These are some of the closest races that include Hispanic barrios:

District 13 (Upper Manhattan, Harlem, Fort George, Morningside Heights and northwest Bronx): Candidates: Rep. Charlie Rangel is defending his seat against three candidates: Adriano Espaillat, Clyde Williams, Joyce Johnson and Craig Schley. Our recommendation: Vote for Adriano Espaillat.

District 7: Sunset Park, Williamsburg and Bushwick in Brooklyn; Fresh Pond and Woodhaven in Queens; and Loisaida in Manhattan. Candidates: Rep. Nydia Velázquez defends her seat against Council Member Erik Martin Dilan. Our recommendation: Vote for Nydia Velázquez.
