Martha Debayle, the TV personality, magazine owner, social media maven, not to mention wife and mother, has made it her mission to inspire, inform and motivate women to be a the best versions of themselves. And while she may not give her audience all the answers to life’s issues big and small, she helps make it possible for them to find their own.

“I am not a model. I am not an actress. I am a normal personal who happens to have an extraordinary job,” says Debayle. “I have a company, I am a mom, and I guess I look pretty decent for 44. I don’t spend my whole day in spas, I don’t do Botox or fillings or any of that, and I think that if I can inspire women to being happy with what they have and make a little effort to be a better version of themselves, that is fantastic.”

So it seems a natural fit that she would be tapped as the new spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris Excellence Crème Pro-Keratine Hair Color Collection.

“I think its fantastic for many reasons,” she says. “[L’Oreal] the biggest beauty company in the world, an all-inclusive democratic company that gives women from every race, every social and economical level the opportunity to feel beautiful. It’s so difficult to feel beautiful today – you open a magazine or watch TV an you see these women that have these incredible bodies.” That make you feel ugly, she says, but you can be a better version of yourself. You don’t have to be the kind of woman who spends all of her time on her looks; all you have to do is spend a few moments on yourself.

What keeps her connected to her audience is her commitment to authenticity. “People are desperate for reality and desperate for truth,” she says. “I think that what people love about me is that what you see is what you get, I’m am a real person, I don’t sit in front of a camera and say my life is perfect.” She says that she’s been open with her audience about her own issues big and small, from her struggles as a single mom of two to her bouts with insomnia.

But through her honesty and transparency, she not only bonds with her audience and followers she herself is an inspiration to women that anything is possible. At 32 she was a single mom of two girls without a clear direction for what she wanted to do as a career. Just a few years later she is not only at the top of her game, but she’s changing the game as she goes along.
