Just two days after her team said that “production issues” force Jennifer Lopez to cancel her World Cup performance, JLo is back in the show.

She will join Cuban-American rapper Pitbull, Brazilian Claudia Leitte and the drumming collective Olodum onstage to launch a month of soccer matches across Brazil.

“Jennifer has always wanted to participate in the World Cup opening ceremonies,” the rep said to PEOPLE magazine. “We have been trying to work out scheduling and logistics. Any statements to the contrary were premature. Jennifer would not want to disappoint her fans or fans of futbol. She will be there.”

This statement comes after FIFA announced earlier this week that Lopez, 44, had canceled her plan to perform this year’s official World Cup song, “We Are One (Ole Ola),” due to unspecified production issues.

Here’s what to expect from the World Cup opening ceremony:

More than 600 performers have been rehearsing for the opening bash at Sao Paulo‘s Arena Corinthians, including a cast of dancers, gymnasts, trampolinists, stilt-walkers and capoeira performers and the show is expected to last 25 minutes.

“The Opening Ceremony is a tribute to Brazil and its treasures: nature, people football,” said the show’s Belgian artistic director Daphne Cornez, after overseeing  the many rehearsals that will take place this month.

“The sense of excitement here is amazing and everyone is very motivated. It doesn’t matter whether they’re feeling tired or hot sometimes or if they have to go through routines again and again: they just keep on smiling. It’s amazing.”
