Diaz has been invited to host the show to promote the new version of “Annie” where she plays Miss Hannigan, while Mars will be a musical guest alongside English musician and DJ Mark Ronson.

This isn’t the first time that the Hollywood starlet of Cuban descent takes her wit and sense of humor to SNL, it’s actually her fourth.

Diaz first hosted the show in 1998 with musical guests The Smashing Pumpkins. In 2002 she hosted once again with musical guests Jimmy Eat World, only to repeat it three years later with musical act Green Day.

Now, almost 10 years after her last appearance, the actress returns to the SNL stage with Bruno Mars –who, by the way, is no new face to the show.

Like Diaz, Mars has also been invited to star in the show many times. The pop crooner, who’s half Puerto Rican, first appeared on the late night program in 2010 as a musical guest.

His good vibes garnered him a second invitation in 2012, where not only was a he a musical guest, but also the host.

Mars made people across the globe LOL with unforgettable and hilarious skits such as the Pandora employee, hood girl Melody and the sad mouse.

Bruno Mars does many skits on SNL. Bruno Mars hosted SNL. SNL has invited Bruno Mars.

As his third time appearing on SNL, Mars and Mark Ronson will perform their latest single “Uptown Funk!,” from Ronson’s new album expected to make the rounds as of November 10.
