The 87th Academy Awards is just around the corner so get your head around what to expect this year at the Oscars. Here is everything you need to know about the big night.

The Host

Last year comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres set a high standard for Neil Patrick Harris, who will serve as host on Sunday night.

The “How I Met Your Mother” star isn’t shy about admitting his nerves after DeGeneres broke the internet with her famous selfie.

The Nominees

The biggest stars in the world will all come together under Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre’s roof to honor Actors that have made a mark in cinema throughout the past year.

The nominees for the most popular categories, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Picture, are as follows:

Best Actor: Bradley Cooper, Steve Carell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne.

Best Actress: Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike, Reese Witherspoon.

Best Picture: American Sniper, Birdman, Boyhood, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Selma, The Theory of Everything, Whiplash.
