If a tough but short workout is what you’re after, than HIIT is your new best friend.

HIIT is any workout that alternates between very intense workout moments to less intense moments and may even come to a complete stop.

According to Shape magazine, an effective HIIT workout can be completed in as little as 15 minutes and would be equal to a one-hour spent jog on the treadmill.

A sample is to start sprinting for one minute, walk for two and repeat it five times.

It also keeps you burning calories even after you’ve completed the workout; therefore, try it out in the morning and feel naturally energized all day.

Zumba

You’re lack of motivation at the gym may be from a lack of instruction.

If you’re finding it difficult to push yourself through your workout, try out fitness classes with one of the most popular being Zumba.

Because it’s based on dance routines to awesome latin beats, not only do you forget you’re working out but you end up having a blast! All while breaking a sweat.

Workout Outside

Take a break from the gym and go for a run outside. Being outdoors on a sunny day will make you feel energized.

It’ll also give you a change of scenery from the same old gym you always go to.

If you’re lucky enough to live by the water, go for a run on the beach or hit up the nearest park.
