The Hollywood Reporter stated that the forthcoming series is a comedy “about a disparate group of employees working at a big-box store in middle America, and the love story that will ultimately unfold among them.”

Ferrera will play the main character Amy, a floor supervisor of Cloud 9 store, who’s been working at the store for 10 years.

The character is originally a little thrown off by Jonah’s confident and happy-go-lucky attitude towards work. Jonah will be played by Ben Feldman from “A to Z.”

Although the two young lovebirds do not get along right away, the two quickly move past their differences as Jonah helps Amy find more joy at work, and Amy starts to fall for Jonah.

Ferrera, who won an Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her role in “Ugly Betty,” has been focused on film in recent years, playing voice roles in movies such as “How to Train Your Dragon” and its sequel.

She also worked on the features “Our Family Wedding,” “Cesar Chavez,” “End of Watch” and “X/Y,” the latter of which she also produced.

On the small screen, Ferrera most recently appeared on CBS’ “The Good Wife” and is continuing her excellent relationship with the “How to Train Your Dragon” crew, working on Cartoon Network’s “Dragons,” –the animated spinoff of the movie.
