10,791,600 View Live Streaming of 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards® in China

First-ever exclusive streaming deal by LeMusic a blow to piracy

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Representing a recording industry first, 10,791,600 in China viewed the
58th Annual GRAMMY Awards® on LeMusic1,
the internet music technology subsidiary of LeEco (formerly Letv),
according to an overnight tally.

“I am thrilled by the success of the first-ever live streaming of the
GRAMMY’s to mainland China,” said Eric Mika, senior vice president of
open eco systems, strategic alliances and partnerships at LeEco.
“LeEco’s continuous, seamless and flawless delivery of the music’s
biggest night to millions, plus the in-studio commentary and red carpet
coverage was, quite simply, a tremendous success.”

“This was a history-making night for LeMusic,” said LeMusic CEO Liang
Yin. “The broadcast well-exceeded our expectations.”

Earlier this month LeEco and Alfred Haber Inc., the exclusive licensed
distribution partner of The Recording Academy®
announced the strategic alliance to live-stream the GRAMMY’s in China,
extending LeEco’s video-on-demand leadership in the market and in an
effort to encourage lawful viewing of the awards ceremony.

“LeEco’s commitment to stop piracy and value talent is only one of our
missions in providing streaming of the GRAMMY Awards®,”
Mika said. “We are committed and looking forward to partnering with many
other events through live streaming and offering our powerful and robust
cloud in more than 60 countries, globally.”

The deal with The Recording Academy is the latest significant milestone
for LeEco, which includes exclusive streaming rights to Major League
Baseball in China, Hong Kong and Macau from 2016-2019, Wimbledon from
2016-2018, the English Premier League in Hong Kong from 2016-2019, as
well as a five-year global partnership with the Association of Tennis
Professionals and more.
