Annual women’s summit honors outstanding achievements in business
by women throughout LA County

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) announces the nomination
of President and CEO, Ana Campos, as “Philanthropist of the Year” by the
Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ). All nominees will be honored at the
24th Annual LABJ Women’s Summit on May 23, 2016, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30
p.m. at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. LIVE.

ASAS-LA is the premier, school-based, afterschool program provider at
Title 1 schools in Los Angeles County and Lucerne Valley. Their holistic
approach tie together academic, enrichment, wellness and leadership
initiatives aimed to solve the opportunity and learning gap that inner
city students experience every year. Since joining ASAS-LA in 2005, Ms.
Campos has diversified the organization’s program and enrichment
offerings, implemented systems to measure and track student outcomes and
expanded our community footprint by 96%. Her business savvy has
positioned the organization for fiscal success; for every $1 raised, .95
cents is dedicated to student-centered programming. A dedicated leader
and youth advocate, Ms. Campos continually strives to fulfill the vision
that our All-Stars grow up safe and healthy, graduate high school, go on
to college, create or find careers they love and give back to their
