LiveHealth Online App Increases Access to Doctor Visits via Video
for Nevadans

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Amerigroup Nevada members have an easy and convenient way to see a
doctor for non-emergency needs (such as a cold, cough, flu, pinkeye or
stomach ache) when their own doctor is not readily available, at no
additional cost. Members can now use their computer with a webcam,
smartphone or tablet to have a live video visit with a US-based,
board-certified doctor of their choice to discuss common health
conditions from home, work or wherever they happen to be as long as they
have internet access. The doctors who see Amerigroup Nevada members
using LiveHealth Online can assess a member’s condition, provide a
treatment plan and even send a prescription to the pharmacy if needed.
For Spanish-speaking Amerigroup Nevada members, who want to interact
with the app in Spanish and speak with a Spanish-speaking doctor,
LiveHealth Online’s Cuidado Médico is also now available for
non-emergency issues.

Additionally, a LiveHealth Online MedSuite Kiosk is available for
Amerigroup Nevada members at the WELL CARE Services facility located at
5412 Boulder Highway in Las Vegas during their normal operating hours.

Doctors are available to see patients through LiveHealth Online 24 hours
a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.
Amerigroup Nevada members have online visits using LiveHealth Online as
a covered benefit under their health plan at no cost. The LiveHealth
Online MedSuite Kiosk, which is available to Amerigroup Nevada members
in Southern Nevada, is equipped with biometric and peripheral devices,
such as a digital thermometer, blood pressure monitor and dermatoscope.
This option provides convenience and additional diagnostic devises where
Amerigroup members can connect with a doctor via LiveHealth Online.

Online care, for non-emergency medical conditions, is more convenient
and timely than a visit to the local urgent care clinic, especially when

three hours of time when they have a common health condition, because
they do not have to leave home or work to visit a doctor’s office or
urgent care facility for such issues like ankle sprains, minor burns,

Patients use online care typically to communicate with a doctor about
colds, sinus infections, aches, sore throats, allergies, skin
infections, rashes and more. Doctors do not prescribe for controlled
substances or lifestyle drugs. A summary of each visit is created, and
at the patient’s request, can be forwarded to their primary care doctor
— supporting continuity of care and collaboration among providers.
