Antibullying Platform Now Offered to Millions of Students Through Great American Insurance Group

Only Mobile App Enabling School Administrators to Follow Up
Anonymously With Students Who Report Harassment

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–STOPit,
the only mobile platform that empowers students to anonymously report,
prevent and provide follow up information about cyber-abuse and
harassment, announced today that Great American Insurance Group will
help to make this essential protection from cyberbullying available to
over 11 million students at thousands of schools across the country.

As the only reporting platform that allows school administrators
to conduct anonymous two-way dialogue with students in order to obtain
additional information and follow-up on incidents, STOPit has
experienced 148% growth in subscribers since September 2015.

With the click of a button in the STOPit app, students can anonymously
share incidents of cyber-abuse with school administrators in real time –
along with photographs, screenshots or other documentary evidence that
may be relevant. When reports are filed, school administrators are
notified immediately so that they can address the issue and, when
necessary, anonymously gather more information from the person who
reported the incident.

STOPit is proven to deter misconduct in schools nationwide by empowering
witnesses to report harassment and reduce documented incidents by as
much as 50% the first year the platform is implemented. The mere
existence of STOPit in a school community immediately forces bullies to
think twice before posting.

Through the new strategic collaboration with Great American Insurance
Group, STOPit will be offered at preferential pricing to more than 20%
of K-12 public school students nationwide. STOPit will be a key
component of Great American’s comprehensive risk management program
developed to help make schools across America safer.

“We’re honored to join forces with Great American Insurance Group to
protect students from inappropriate behaviors both online and offline
and to provide schools with `smart’ tools to mitigate liability in
potential lawsuits. Cyberbullying is a global plague. It’s time for a
big shot of penicillin,” said Todd Schobel, Founder and CEO of STOPit.

“It has been great to team up with the people from STOPit and to help
deliver their product to our school customers across the country,” said
Scott Rohr, Public Sector Division President, Great American Insurance
Group. “STOPit is passionate about making a positive difference in our
schools and communities. More importantly, they are empowering students
and teachers to stand up against cyberbullying and other inappropriate
behavior.”

“The STOPit team works closely with school administrators and board of
education members to understand why schools struggle with cyberbullying
and how insurance companies like Great American Insurance Group can help
reduce risk for these educational institutions,” said Brian Luciani,
principal of David
Brearley Middle-High School
. “We sometimes feel left out in the open
when dealing with bullying issues, specifically around social media.
It’s important for other insurance companies to follow Great American’s
lead and start recognizing how big of an epidemic this has become.”
