Axalta Canada Employees Help Pack 50,000 Meals for Children in Need
AJAX, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Employees of Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global manufacturer of
liquid and powder coatings, joined other volunteers this weekend to pack
50,000 meals for Kids Against Hunger® Canada. This was the
second consecutive year that Axalta employees supported this effort,
held at the Forest Brook Community Church in Ajax, Ontario on Saturday,
April 23, 2016.
The Rotary Club of Ajax, with support from the Town of Ajax, organizes
the day-long event annually. Volunteers from the community and from
local businesses like Axalta, gave their time and enthusiasm to pack
meals for thousands of underprivileged children in Canada and overseas.
“Without healthy, nutritional meals children are unable to grow, thrive
and learn,” said Donna Bright, Secretary, Rotary Club of Ajax, whose
responsibilities include volunteer recruitment. “Although food support
is a temporary fix, a $1.50 will provide six meals and helps to give
children a head start. The Rotary Club of Ajax is proud to work with
community volunteers to pack and donate 50,000 meals to areas where
there is need.”

took time out of their weekend to give back to children in our community

Kids Against Hunger Canada is a registered Canadian charity, whose
