Baker Tilly Takes Part in Firmwide Stewardship Day to Fight Hunger

Employees in every firm office dedicate the workday to combat food
insecurity.

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BakerTillyStewardship–On July 14, accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP
(Baker
Tilly) held its first Stewardship Day – a firmwide day of community
service focused on volunteering with hunger relief organizations.

A total of 1,340 Baker Tilly professionals participated in Stewardship
Day, giving more than 7,000 hours of their time to the cause of food
insecurity. Participants worked at more than 45 community and nonprofit
programs throughout the country.

Activities varied across the firm, from packing and delivering food at
the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Maryland Food Bank to
harvesting food at the Food Share Program greenhouse in Philadelphia and
conducting a food drive in support of the Goodman Community Center and
River Food Pantrystock in Madison, Wisconsin.

Baker Tilly’s Stewardship Day was intended to build on the firm’s long
legacy of joining in the fight against hunger. The daylong activities in
more than 30 cities celebrated Baker Tilly team members’ ongoing
contributions to the communities in which they live and work.
