More Than $350,000 Worth of Products Donated Including Books,
Puzzles, Plush Toys, Board Games, Electronic Games, Infant Toys and More

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the nation’s largest
retail bookseller and a leading retailer of content, digital media and
educational products, today announced a major donation to the Marine
Toys for Tots Foundation in both New York City and Reno, NV. The
combined donation features more than $350,000 worth of merchandise,
comprising 22 pallets and approximately 10,000 units of products at each
location. The donation includes a handpicked selection of books,
puzzles, plush toys, board games, electronic games, infant toys and many
more fun and educational toys and games.

“Barnes & Noble is thrilled to continue its support of the Marine Toys
for Tots Foundation with this donation, which will hopefully make the
holidays extra special for families who are less fortunate this year,”
said Ron Boire, Chief Executive Officer at Barnes & Noble. “Our
booksellers in New York City, Reno and throughout the country are
excited about this donation because they know it will make a big impact
in the communities they serve every day.”

The Reno donation took place on Monday, December 7, with all of the
products coming from the Barnes & Noble Distribution Center in Reno. In
addition to Marine Toys for Tots coordinators, the Nevada National Guard
and the Reno Sherriff’s Department were on hand to unload the truck and
distribute the donation to families in need. “Barnes & Noble has a big
presence in Reno, so we’re thrilled that they decided to support our
community with a major donation,” said Jon Yuspa, founder of the Nevada
Honor Flight. “We know that local families are going to really
appreciate this.”

Barnes & Noble donated to the New York City Toys for Tots foundation on
Wednesday, December 9, with all of the products coming from the Barnes &
Noble Distribution Center in Monroe, NJ. A team of Marines was on hand
to unload the truck at a Marine base in Brooklyn, where it was quickly
categorized and sent out to charities and families in need across the
city. “Once again Barnes & Noble has come through to support us in a big
way. This donation will help us in our mission to ensure that every
child in New York City has a book or a toy under the tree this holiday
season,” said Staff Sergeant Juan C. Corrales, Coordinator Toys for
Tots, NYC.

About The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not for profit organization
