Tenet Finds That Barnes & Noble’s Brand Familiarity Is at Its Highest
Point Since 2010
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS), the nation’s largest retail
bookseller and a leading retailer of content, digital media and
educational products, today announced that it was named the most
powerful retail brand in Tenet Partners’ 2016 Top 100 Most Powerful
Brands Reports (www.tenetpartners.com).
Tenet Partners is a leading brand innovation and marketing firm, and its
annual study of approximately 10,000 consumers and influential business
decision-makers found that Barnes & Noble’s brand familiarity is at its
highest point since 2010, while the Company’s brand favorability
remained constant year-over-year. Barnes & Noble ranked number 32 in the
overall Top 100 list, a full 13 points ahead of the closest retail
competitor and 22 points ahead of Amazon.
