Brand-New Tampa Bay CityPASS Program Debuts on May 20 Tampa Bay CityPASS B-Roll

The brand-new Tampa Bay CityPASS® program will officially launch on Tuesday, May 20, just in time for the busy summer travel season. Each Tampa Bay CityPASS ticket booklet saves Sunshine State travelers 38 percent off combined admission to the following top regional attractions: Busch Gardens® Tampa, The Florida Aquarium, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and the pass holder’s choice between St. Petersburg’s Chihuly Collection presented by the Morean Arts Center or Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).

“If you visit Busch Gardens and only one other attraction, you’ve already paid for your pass,” explained Megan Allen, president and CEO of City Pass. “As you continue using your Tampa Bay CityPASS ticket booklet at additional attractions, the savings just goes up and up.”

The new program was formally announced on Feb. 26, during a media event at Busch Gardens Tampa, and has the full support of the Tampa Bay area’s primary destination marketing offices: Visit Tampa Bay and Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater.

“This day has been a long time coming,” said Santiago Corrada, president and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay. “By announcing the Tampa Bay CityPASS program, we’ve joined 11 other great CityPASS destinations, including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco and others. This really takes our destination to the next level.”

“I’ve been working the international travel markets for about 20 years,” said D.T. Minich, executive director of Visit St. Petersburg/Clearwater, “and I can tell you personally that CityPASS is one of the most respected brands out there, both for international visitors and domestic tourists.”

Each 2014 Tampa Bay CityPASS ticket booklet will retail for $119 for adults, $99 for children, age 3-9. Passes, which can be purchased online at CityPASS.com or at any of the CityPASS partner attractions listed above, are valid for nine consecutive days, beginning with the first day of use. Visitors who use all of the booklet’s tickets will save more than $70 on combined admission to the included attractions.

For more than 15 years, CityPASS ticket booklets and admission cards have been premier products for travelers who want to visit a city’s top attractions while enjoying significant savings. The CityPASS program is available in New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California, Tampa Bay and Toronto.
