Business Wire Announces Agreement of Support to the Hispanic PR Association

Business Wire has signed a year-long agreement with the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), to support the organization’s mission and activities — to advance the careers of Hispanics in the field of communications by empowering them through leadership skills, professional development, mentoring and career advancement.

Danny Selnick, Business Wire’s Vice President for LatinoWire said: “We are extremely proud to support the Hispanic Public Relations Association and are committed to helping bring new and expanded avenues of educational support to HPRA’s growing membership. Right now we’re helping HPRA to get the word out about its annual PRemio Awards for best public relations campaigns that target the Hispanic market. We’ll also be working with HPRA to hold national Webinars on various topics of interest to Hispanic communicators as well as co-branded events.”

Business Wire works with many non-profit organizations like HPRA to help advance communication professionals and to provide valuable resources and workshops. David Henry, HPRA’s president, said, “We are excited to have Business Wire and LatinoWire as one of our sponsors. Their support helps HPRA as we continue to grow and advance the field of Hispanic PR and acknowledge our peers through our upcoming PRemios Awards.” HPRA provides scholarships to Hispanic students pursuing a career in Public Relations and related communications fields attending accredited four-year universities. In the last 28 years, HPRA-LA has awarded more than $225,000 in scholarships to Hispanic students pursuing a career in communications. Internship opportunities are also made available to scholarship recipients.
