CAPIS Certified as a Women-owned Broker

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Capital Institutional Services, Inc. (CAPIS), one of the industry’s
leading institutional agency brokerages, today announced that it has
been certified as a women-owned broker dealer by the Women’s Business
Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Founded in 1977, CAPIS provides institutional investors with global
execution services, commission management solutions, and transition
management events. After 38 successful years and more than a decade of
succession planning, the firm became majority women-owned in July 2015.

“We are excited to achieve the final step in our multi-year planning
strategy for CAPIS, which positions us for continued growth as a
privately owned, independent agency broker,” said Kristi Potts
Wetherington, president and CEO of CAPIS. “Certification by the WBENC
will expand CAPIS’ ability to offer trusted global execution and
commission management solutions to an even broader group of
institutional investors.”

As a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise, CAPIS will be able to
help institutions satisfy minority or women-owned business enterprise
(MWBE) mandates through its 24-hour global trading desk, which offers
global equity, fixed income, derivative, and portfolio execution
