Carvana Expands Into Houston

Online Auto Retailer Continues Aggressive Growth; Now Offers Free
Next Day Delivery to Houstonians

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Following successful launches in Birmingham, Ala. and Dallas earlier
this year, Carvana
– the first complete online auto retailer and Forbes’ Fifth Most
Promising Company– has officially expanded to Houston, the company’s
second city in Texas, to meet growing demand for Carvana’s online car
buying experience.

With the Houston launch, Carvana now provides free next day delivery on
all purchases within a 100-mile radius of the Houston city center. This
translates to 7.7 million more consumers eligible for free, next-day
delivery. Additionally, with a physical presence in six markets –
Atlanta, Birmingham, Dallas, Charlotte, Nashville and, now, Houston –
Carvana currently reaches 39.2 million consumers with its free next-day
delivery option. The company also offers additional delivery options to
consumers throughout the country, ensuring nationwide access to the
Carvana experience.

“We are extremely excited to bring our offering to more than seven
million residents in the greater Houston area,” said Ernie Garcia,
founder and CEO of Carvana. “The response from customers around the
country for a new way to buy a car – including getting financing,
trading in their old car, signing contracts online and direct delivery,
along with a 7-day, no questions asked return policy – has been has been
very enthusiastic. Opening Houston is an important, 7-million person
step in our mission to offer customers everywhere a better way to buy a
car.”

Carvana has raised more than $300 million in funding to date and plans
to continue its aggressive expansion strategy over the coming months and
years. New markets like Houston will help the company satisfy the
growing demand for an alternative to brick-and-mortar car sales, while
still creating an online experience that enables consumers to save both
time and money versus purchasing a car at a traditional dealership. In
fact, a recent online Harris Poll of Texas residents age 18 and older
found nearly one third of adults would purchase a car 100 percent online.

To show appreciation to Houston’s early adopters who have purchased a
vehicle through Carvana prior to today’s launch, Carvana is offering to
refund the delivery fee they previously paid with their purchase.
