Partnership with Neighborhood Healthcare in Escondido, Sierra View
Medical Center and Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County highlights
company’s ongoing growth

EMERYVILLE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CEP
America
, one of the nation’s largest and most experienced providers
of acute care management solutions, has partnered with three California
healthcare providers, The Sierra View Medical Center, Neighborhood
Healthcare in Escondido, Calif., and the Catholic Charities of Santa
Clara County, to deliver a wide range of medical services for their
patients beginning in March 2016.

“At CEP America, we are an integrated team of physicians providing care
across the acute care continuum with the bandwidth to serve these three
outstanding organizations with different needs,” said Imamu Tomlinson,
M.D., president of CEP America. “As a physician-owned-and-operated
medical organization, we have developed innovative practices and
procedures that result in efficient, cost-effective and coordinated
care, helping our clients provide the best treatment for their patients.”

CEP America will staff the Emergency Department at Sierra
View Medical Center
, a 167-bed, full-service acute care facility in
Porterville. The medical center, which has earned The Joint Commission’s
Gold Seal of Approval, is the pre-eminent healthcare provider in the
Southern Sequoia region of California’s Central Valley.

“From its inception, CEP America has been recognized for its innovations
in emergency care, particularly in managing patient flow effectively,”
says Jeffery L. Hudson, Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive of
Sierra View Medical Center. “We know that they will help us continue to
provide excellent healthcare services in a compassionate environment.”

CEP America will also provide physician staffing and oversight for the
John XXIII Health Clinic at Catholic
Charities of Santa Clara County
, a 60-year-old social services and
change organization providing a hand up, not a hand out of poverty for
vulnerable Silicon Valley residents. CEP America will provide physician
supervision via telephone for an onsite physician assistant who sees
patients twice a week. Once a week, a CEP America physician will also be
onsite to support two Kaiser Permanente internal medicine residents.

“We opened the clinic in 2014 to offer integrated primary and behavioral
healthcare and social services to diverse people falling through the
cracks of our medical system,” said Jackie Copeland-Carson, Chief
Operations Officer, Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County. “Now, just
two years after the founding of the clinic, by partnering with CEP
America, we’re able to expand our primary care services as we continue
to help meet the increasing needs of our community.”

In Escondido, Calif., CEP will provide urgent care services to patients
at Neighborhood
Healthcare
-Valley Parkway. This center provides primary care
services to patients of all ages and is expanding its evening and
weekend hours to increase access for medical care. Created to provide a
community-focused approach to quality healthcare, the facility is within
walking distance to three other health centers, ensuring patients have
easy access to comprehensive medical care.

“Because we are such an integral part of our community, ensuring we
provide our patients with access to great, caring local physicians is
important to us,” said Tracy Ream, CEO of Neighborhood Healthcare. “We
like the fact that CEP America understands our mission and is working
with us to bring care to all the patients we serve.”
