Cheap Chic Weddings Launches the 12th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Sponsored by Charmin
BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com, an online company specializing in providing
brides with fiscally savvy tips for a fabulous wedding, has teamed up
with Charmin for the sixth time as they host the 12th Annual
Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest.
For over a decade, the Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress
Contest has challenged creative minds from across the nation to create a
wearable, on-trend wedding dress and corresponding headpiece using only
Charmin toilet paper, glue, tape and a needle and thread. The annual
event shows how Charmin is not only America’s softest bath tissue but
it’s 4x times the strength of other toilet paper brands making it a
perfect material for designers to use to create their dresses and models
to wear on the runway.
“We are always excited to see what our talented contestants dream up,”
says Susan Bain, Cheap Chic Weddings Co-Founder. “We are also very
excited to add a live streaming element to this year’s event. It will
give even more people the opportunity to see the incredible dresses
designed,” added co-founder Laura Gawne.
Although the competition has been going on for more than 12 years,
participating designers still manage to challenge expectations and
surprise the judges each and every year.
The top ten dresses, and their designers, will be flown to New York City
to participate in a finale fashion show event on June 16, 2016. The
event will be hosted on Haven Rooftop at The Sanctuary Hotel, where each
design will be judged by members of Cheap Chic Weddings, Charmin, Edward
Meyer of Ripley’s Believe It or Not, The Sanctuary’s Hank Freid, and
celebrity guest judge Michael Russo, event planner to the stars and
member of OK! TV Entertaining Team. Fans at home will also be able to
choose the winner of the “Fan Favorite” category by voting online at Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com.
The first prize winner will walk away with $10,000 while the second and
third prize winners will receive $5,000 and $2,500 respectively.
For the first time ever, the finale event will also be live streamed on Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com
to allow fans near and far to be a part of the contest fun.
The contest is officially open and all entries must be submitted by May
