DMC Employees Raise More Than $20,000 for Flint Residents

DETROIT–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The employees of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) raised $25,000 through
a workplace giving campaign for the children and families affected by
the Flint Water Crisis. This generous raising of funds is in addition to
medical expertise previously offered by DMC Children’s Hospital of
Michigan. To ensure that their collective financial donation was
impactful, the employees partnered with the Flint Child Health &
Development Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint where
funds will be used to aid children with interventions that support
positive health outcomes for Flint children.

necessary support services and ongoing intervention will continue for
the health and well-being of Flint residents now and in the future,”

The Flint Child Health & Development Fund at the Community Foundation of
Greater Flint fund was established by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, a former
Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, who has been at the
forefront of the Flint water issue.
