FamilyWize Offers Free Prescription Drug Discount Program to Verizon Employees

FamilyWize helps 40,000 Verizon employees without health insurance
save money on their prescriptions

announced they’re offering their prescription drug savings program as
help to the striking Verizon employees. As the protest reaches the
20-day mark, health benefits have ceased for more than 40,000 employees.
The FamilyWize program is free and saves participants an average of 43
percent off of their prescription drug costs, allowing Verizon employees
on strike to maintain their health at an affordable cost while their
benefits are suspended.

“This is a difficult time for both Verizon and for their 40,000 workers.
In the spirit of helping to ensure that these folks remain healthy
during this period of uncertainty, we are pleased to provide them with
the opportunity to stay adherent to their prescribed medications. By
using the Free FamilyWize Prescription Savings Card, it will give these
folks the access to affordable medication,” said Joseph Sanginiti,
President and COO of FamilyWize, a community service partnership
dedicated to helping improve the health and well-being of individuals,
families, and communities.
