Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation Announces 2016 Women in Insurance Conference Series

Women’s Leadership Forums to Take Place in Cities Across U.S. in June

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The
Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation
(IICF), a nonprofit
organization funded by the insurance industry and focused on
community-based philanthropy across the United States, has set the
schedule for its 2016
Women in Insurance Conference Series
.

Following the success of the 2015 Women in Insurance Global Conference,
IICF will execute a regional series of events in major metropolitan
areas across the United States for the 2016 program. Event dates and
locations are:

  • June 9, Northeast Regional Forum: New York City
  • June 13, Midwest Regional Forum: Chicago
  • June 21, Texas/Southeast Regional Forum: Dallas
  • June 23, Western Regional Forum: Los Angeles

“As the insurance industry joins the rest of the global community in
recognizing International Women’s Day today, we are excited to announce
the next four installments of our flagship Conference Series in 2016,”
said Bill Ross, CEO of IICF. “This series of events will present
top-flight networking and professional development opportunities at the
local level for the nation’s insurance professionals.”

The
Women in Insurance Conference Series
is designed to provide an
environment for insightful discussions surrounding gender diversity in
insurance, industry leadership, and the changing world and future of the
insurance industry. Each conference will feature a unique slate of
premier speakers and breakout sessions designed to engage and enlighten
attendees. The forums will also be enriched with opportunities for
participants to build strong regional networks and individual
connections.

In 2013, IICF hosted the inaugural Women in Insurance Global Conference,
which took place over a two-day period in New York. The following year,
IICF serialized the conferences to four events held throughout the
United States. In 2015, the format returned to the Global Conference
model, setting the stage for 2016’s event to once again focus on the
regional forum model that brings leadership training and networking
opportunities back to the doorsteps of insurance professionals across
the United States.

“With more than 2,500 attendees at six events over the past three years,
the Women in Insurance Conference Series has established itself as the
go-to event for insurance professionals looking to propel further
business success by optimizing their organization’s diversity,” said
Ross. “As we enter the fourth year of our Women in Insurance Conference
Series, we are thrilled to once again be able to convene some of the
industry’s preeminent leaders for discussions on this all-too-important
topic.”

Primary sponsors for this year’s Conference Series include CNA, XL
Catlin, The Hartford, FM Global, WillisTowersWatson, GenRe, Farmers
Insurance, and Munich Re.
