Inter Valley Health Plan Launches Bee Brainy Program; New Series of Classes on Brain Health for Older Adult Community
Bee Brainy Kicks Off in January with FREE Community Events in Inland

POMONA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As part of its existing For
Health and Living’s Bee Happy Project, launched in
2015, Inter Valley Health Plan (www.IVHP.com)
announces the launch of a secondary initiative: Bee Brainy, that
offers educational classes, events and resources dedicated to brain
health. Its kick-off events will take place in January at its Medicare
Information and Vitality Centers (MIC) in Claremont, Banning, Hemet,
Riverside and Victorville.
Inter
Valley Health Plan, a not-for-profit Medicare Advantage Health Plan
based in the Inland Empire, is committed to enhancing the mind, body and
spirit of the older adult community in Southern California. Its Bee
Brainy initiative will center on all the elements that help maintain
a healthy brain including diet, exercise, socialization and activities.
“Our Bee Happy initiative was so successful and well received, we
wanted to provide community residents with additional resources just as
valuable to help them maintain overall health, and what better way to do
that than to start with the brain,” says Cyndie O’Brien, vice president
of member services, Inter Valley Health Plan and creator of the Bee
Brainy and Bee Happy program.
As part of the Bee Brainy program, Inter Valley Health Plan will
add a new series of free monthly classes at each of the MICs to its For
Health and Living event calendar. Classes will include brain games such
as Bee Brainy Bingo, ABC’s of Vitamins for the Brain, Mind Diet and
Heart Health=Brain Health.
The free Bee Brainy kick-off events will take place at five of
Inter Valley Health Plan MICs where attendees are encouraged to bring
friends and enjoy brain healthy interactive projects and refreshments.
