JJ Miller Named Executive Producer, Video for Time Inc.’s ‘People’ and Entertainment Weekly

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JJ Miller has been named Executive Producer, Video for Time
Inc.’s People and Entertainment Weekly. In this newly
created role, Miller will oversee all aspects of People and EW
video programming across their digital platforms, and she will develop
TV and other brand extensions, reporting directly to Jess Cagle,
Editorial Director of People and EW. In this position, she
will also work closely with Ian Orefice, Executive Producer of
Time Inc. News and Sports and the Time Inc. central video team, the
editorial teams and ad sales. She will manage a sizable staff, which
will include existing staff members and new hires. Miller will be based
in New York and will begin on December 7.

Miller served as an executive producer at SiriusXM in 2012, where she
was a leader of talk programming and was instrumental in launching the
successful Entertainment Weekly channel. Throughout her
impressive career, she has demonstrated a valuable and unique talent for
bringing existing brands to other mediums; as special projects director
at O/Harpo (2007–2010), she oversaw projects in print, television, radio
and digital; as producer of The Gayle King Show on Oprah Radio
(2009–2011), Miller generated two hours of daily content, ranging from
segments on politics and health to celebrity interviews, and she managed
the launch of the show’s website.

Most recently, Miller played a key role in launching Katie Couric
Productions, where she developed projects for various platforms and
consulted on Yahoo staffing, digital production, social promotion and
distribution. Previously, she helped launch The Huffington Post’s
groundbreaking eight-hour block of video programming, and as HuffPost
Live
’s deputy executive producer, she oversaw all celebrity segments.

Miller grew up in Virginia and earned a BA in journalism from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Manhattan with
her husband and four-year-old daughter.
