MFour Receives $680,000 in California Job-Creation Tax Credits

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Emotion–MFour Mobile Research’s rapid growth is being recognized and supported
by California’s state government, which has extended $680,000 in tax
credits under the California Competes job-creation program.

The credit is contingent on MFour adding at least 77 full-time staff
positions in California over a five-year span from 2017 to 2021, but the
Irvine-based consumer research company expects to surpass this target
well in advance. In 2016 it added 88 new clients, including more than 20
Fortune 500 companies who turned to MFour for today’s most advanced
consumer research technology and survey panel engagement.

Co-founder and CEO Chris St. Hilaire expects MFour’s team to grow to
more than 100 by the end of the second quarter of 2017 – double its
roster from spring 2016. These new hires are highly skilled employees in
software development, survey programming and sales.

“Job growth flows naturally from our strength as the pioneers who are
transforming market research,” St. Hilaire said. “Our industry is in
critical need of realignment if it’s to survive in the Smartphone Era.
Research has to reach consumers where they live – with surveys they
complete inside a mobile app. We’re toppling an entrenched online
research model that no longer works. The economic benefits will
naturally ripple through our industry and our community.”

MFour’s California tax credit comes after a big endorsement from the
private sector – a $5 million investment by Kayne NewRoad Ventures Fund
II announced last week. MFour will use $2 million of that backing to
market MFourDIY® – the market research industry’s only all-mobile,
do-it-yourself survey design platform.

About MFour Mobile Research

Since 2011, MFour has reshaped the consumer-feedback paradigm, working
to move the ultra- conservative market research community into the age
of the smartphone as a crucial advance beyond landline surveys, email
recruitment and online panels. MFour’s Surveys On the Go® app gives
researchers access to more than 1,000,000 active panelists. With more
than 2,000 joining daily, it’s the most-downloaded and highest-rated
survey app in the US. Brands can use location-capturing technology to
reach shoppers in real time and connect with a demographically diverse
panel with full representation of Millennials, Hispanics, and African
Americans. MFour uses GPS technology, fingerprint validation, multimedia
capture, and GeoValidation® to deliver faster, more reliable, more
accurate insights than traditional survey platforms.
