MundoFox Named Title Sponsor for 2013 ¡VivaFest!

MundoFox, the newest Spanish-language television network for American Latinos, is the first title sponsor for ¡VivaFest!, the only month-long celebration of Latin culture in the U.S. The six figure sponsorship agreement offers important support to this multi-venue celebration of the best Latino music, art, film and dance combined with educational music and dance workshops plus community conversations. MundoFox ¡VivaFest!, which is a fund raiser for music and arts in San Jose, takes place August 31 – September 28, 2013, throughout San Jose.

Produced by the non-profit Mexican Heritage Corporation, this destination event showcases and explores Latino culture, inviting a better understanding of its treasures and heritage. The MundoFox partnership will enhance the annual arts, dance, film and music event by including participation of popular game show host and brand ambassador, Marco Antonio Regil, as well as fan-favorite, Poncho de Anda, host of the new MundoFox music competition show, “El Factor X.”

“This is a perfect partnership,” said Marcela Davison Aviles, Mexican Heritage Corporation president and CEO. “¡VivaFest! benefits from MundoFox’s broad outreach and their involvement deepens their relationship with our diverse Northern California audience.”

“We are proud to sponsor such an established entertainment property and celebration of American Latino culture and Mexican heritage,” said Claudia Estrada, Vice President and General Manager, KTNC ESTRELLA TV-42 I KCNS MUNDOFOX-3. “We are pleased to be part of a program that benefits the non-profit Mexican Heritage Corporation and San Jose Unified School District’s Joint Mariachi Youth Education Program which provides a rigorous standards-based music program in mariachi for students from diverse communities.”
