NAHJ to Honor Trailblazing Founders
Throughout the years, Latino journalists have broken barriers, opened doors, and made newsrooms more diverse, adding much-needed voices to the journalism landscape in the United States.
We continue to do so, but much of it wouldnt have been possible without the efforts of a group of journalists who in 1984 decided to put their names on the line and establish a national organization to represent the interests of Hispanic journalists and improve the quality of journalism in the United States.
NAHJ will honor these trailblazing founders at its 30th anniversary convention in San Antonio, August 7-9 where more than 1,000 journalists and many others are expected to attend.
The following will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the Hall of Fame Gala on Saturday, August 9:
