Orthopaedic Institute for Children Names Jamie Wells Clinical Director of New Ambulatory Surgery Center

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Orthopaedic Institute for Children (OIC) has hired Jamie Wells, R.N., to
serve as clinical director for its new ambulatory surgery center that is
scheduled to open this spring. Located in downtown Los Angeles, the OIC
Ambulatory Surgery Center will be the region’s first standalone facility
specifically designed to provide outpatient orthopaedic surgical care to
children.

Wells previously served as director of nursing for the surgery center at
the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, an international
leader and pioneer in the diagnosis and treatment of sports medicine
injuries and illnesses. She has also held positions with MemorialCare
Outpatient Surgical Center, West Coast Surgery Center and Cerritos
Surgery Center.

A registered nurse, Wells earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at
Jacksonville University in Florida, and an Associate of Science in
Nursing at El Camino College in California. She is certified in basic
cardiac life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric
advanced life support.
