Pei Wei Pledges $10,000 Donation to No Kid Hungry
Arizona, Florida and Dallas/Ft. Worth markets to help end childhood
hunger in America
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pei Wei®, the fast casual chain known for its pan-Asian
flavors, has pledged $10,000 to No
Kid Hungry, a campaign working to end childhood hunger in America.
Pei Wei also will donate three hundred meals to Phoenix-area Boys &
Girls Clubs during the month of September.
Pei Wei will donate $1 to No Kid Hungry for every Kid’s Wei meal
purchased during September in Arizona, Florida and the Dallas/Fort Worth
markets up to $10,000. Just a $1 donation can help feed a child in need
up to 10 healthy meals. The funds will support No Kid Hungry’s efforts
to provide kids across the country with school breakfast and summer
meals, and help their parents learn to cook healthy meals at home.

participate in the No Kid Hungry campaign,” said Clay Dover, chief

struggling with hunger, we knew that we had to make a real impact in the
communities we serve.”
To help feed kids in its home market, Pei Wei will donate three hundred
meals to the Phoenix-based Boys & Girls Club (Parsons Branch) for Day
for Kids. This effort is significant because Arizona has a higher
than average rate of childhood food insecurity.
This is the second year Pei Wei has partnered with organizations to
alleviate childhood hunger. Last year for Hunger Action Month, Pei Wei
donated more than 600 meals to a Title-I elementary school in Phoenix
and donated $10,000 to St. Mary’s Food Bank. It is expanding its efforts
this year to also benefit Florida and Dallas, two significant Pei Wei
markets.
