Person of the Year™ Gala

The Latin Recording Academy® today announced the list of
artists scheduled to perform at the 2018 Latin Recording Academy Person
of the Year™ Gala honoring Maná, which includes current
nominees Pablo Alborán, Enrique Bunbury, Mariachi Sol
de México de José Hernández
, Iza, Beatriz Luengo,
Vetusta Morla
, Monsieur Periné, Gilberto Santa Rosa,
and Sebastián Yatra. In adition four-time Latin GRAMMY® winner
Pepe Aguilar and two-time Latin GRAMMY® and
GRAMMY® winner Draco Rosa; as well as José María
Cano
accompanied by his son Dani, Daniel Habif,
Arthur Hanlon
, Ara Malikian, La Marisoul, Orianthi
and Piso 21 will also perform.

The 2018 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Gala will
honor six-time Latin GRAMMY® and four-time GRAMMY® winner, Maná
for their extraordinary creative accomplishments and philanthropic
contributions to the Latin community, as well as for their steadfast and
dedicated support of environmental preservation and protection, as well
as human rights.

Pepsi will serve as the evening’s presenting sponsor and will make an
important scholarship donation to the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation®
to help four students pursue their music studies.

Other official-level sponsors include Bulova, Google, Hennessy, Estrella
Jalisco, McDonald’s, Nissan, L’Oréal Paris, Las Vegas and Walmart.

Jamie Camil and Soledad Pastorutti will host the event
held at a sold-out gala on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at the Mandalay Bay
Events Center in Las Vegas. The event precedes the 19th Annual
Latin GRAMMY Awards
®, airing live on the Univision
Network Nov. 15 from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central) from the MGM Grand
Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The Latin Person of the Year recognition is bestowed upon musicians as a
recognition of their artistic achievements in the music industry, and
for their commitment to philanthropy. Past honorees include Marc

, Emilio Estefan, Gloria Estefan, Vicente Fernández,

Nine-time Latin GRAMMY and three-time GRAMMY winner Rafa Sardina
will be the executive producer of the prestigious event. Greg Fera
will serve again as the event producer, and Gustavo Borner, who
has received eleven Latin GRAMMYs™ and five GRAMMYs will be in charge of
the sound for the night. The musical production and coordination of the
event will be managed by Moon Moosic, Inc.

The net proceeds from the gala will go toward supporting the charitable
work of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation whose
mission is to further international awareness and appreciation of the
significant contributions of Latin music and its makers to the world’s
culture through scholarships, fellowships, grants, and educational
programs. The Foundation’s primary charitable focus is to provide
scholarships to students interested in Latin music with financial need,
as well as grants to scholars and organizations worldwide for research
and preservation of diverse Latin music genres.
