Pikes Peak Online School Prepares Students for a Successful 2016 School Year

— Students return to online public school August 22nd

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Students at Pikes
Peak Online Preparatory School
(PPOS), a tuition-free, online
public school, will begin their 2016-2017 school year on August 22
thankful for a place where they can learn in a way that’s right for them.

Colorado students in grades 9 through 12 are welcome to attend PPOS. The
school’s comprehensive education approach focuses on providing students
with the academic, social and emotional support needed to succeed in
school and beyond. The online learning environment allows students to
work at their own pace, giving them time to progress faster in subjects
at which they excel, while spending more time on subjects and lessons
where they need more help.

The wide breadth of curriculum at PPOS includes over 240 courses,
including six world languages. PPOS ensures that students are able to
pursue subjects that interest them while completing required classes.
High school students have the opportunity to attend workshops on college
and career planning and other electives that they find engaging.

“We do our best to meet the needs of each and every student,” said
Nicole Tiley, head of school at Pikes Peak Online Preparatory School.
“Each student is unique, and a one-size-fits-all education may not work
for everyone. We’re proud to offer a place where students can succeed,
no matter how they learn.”

At PPOS, state-certified teachers provide instruction, guidance and
support, and interact with students and families via email, web-based
classrooms, online discussions, phone and face-to-face meetings. This
ensures that students and their families feel supported yet challenged
in their education in a way that may be different for every student.

Earlier this summer, PPOS challenged enrolled families to prevent summer
‘brain drain’ by offering students free access to LearnBop,
a self-paced solution that simulates a one-on-one, personalized math
tutoring experience. The award-winning online program will continue to
be available free of charge throughout the fall and can be used
alongside the regular math curriculum to build math skills or prepare
for high-level exams.

PPOS is still accepting enrollments for this fall. To learn more about
