Protective Life Launches Online Financial Learning Center
Center offers interactive tools and broad-based education
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Protective Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Protective Life
Corporation, today announced it has developed a new online portal for
financial education. The “Protective
Life Learning Center” combines simple interactive tools with more
than 500 informative articles and videos. Topics range from basic budget
planning to understanding different types
of life insurance and annuities.
“This new online learning center aligns with our mission to help people
protect their financial futures,” said Frank Sottosanti, chief marketing
officer. “We believe the more informed a consumer is, the better
empowered they are to make sound financial decisions. That’s an
investment we believe will pay off for consumers and for the company.”
The Learning Center is designed to provide easy-to-understand
information around a wide range of subjects. The Learning Center covers
topics such as wills and estate planning, marriage and money, divorce
and finances, college planning, budgeting and retirement planning among
others. The site also provides information on different types of life
insurance and how to evaluate the pros and cons of each.
Based on research around consumer questions, the Learning Center
prominently features an interactive insurance needs calculator
and a tool that suggests the best category of life insurance, such as
term or universal life insurance, based on a consumer’s answer to three
basic questions.
To launch the Learning Center, Protective worked with social media
entertainers, the Holderness family, whose music parody and comedic
videos have reached more than 50 million views on YouTube. The
Holderness family created a music video entitled “I can’t live without
you,” a humorous look at the real-life issues a parent would face if
they lost their spouse.

interesting and relevant.”
