Recovery Centers of America Opens Bracebridge Hall

RCA brings together top industry clinicians and addiction medicine
professionals to provide the finest drug and alcohol addiction treatment
in a highly private and secluded setting

EARLEVILLE, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#addicition–In an effort to help the United States overcome its overdose
public health crisis
and stand with the Governor’s administration as
it announces the Heroin
and Opioid Emergency Task Force
, today, Recovery
Centers of America
has opened the finest boutique drug and alcohol
treatment facility at Bracebridge
Hall
, a Recovery Centers of America company, in Earleville, Maryland.

Bracebridge Hall brings the latest scientific research in addiction and
mental health treatment to individuals and their family members who
desire complete privacy as they pursue rigorous treatment in a five-star
setting. Care is delivered in the highly secluded, tranquil, waterfront
setting of Bracebridge Hall, which was once a private hunting and
fishing estate, and recently famed for being under purchase
consideration by Michael Jackson and Brett Favre.

Today, the estate opens in a completely revived capacity with 39 beds to
deliver clinical care to meet each patient’s unique needs, an approach
founded on integrated, evidence-based behavioral health and
medication-assisted therapies. The boutique nature of Bracebridge Hall
enables therapists, counselors, and medical doctors to bring
individualized attention to patients, complete with specialized
treatment for a variety of drug addictions, along with treatment for
behavioral health issues such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and
bipolar disorder.

Bracebridge Hall eliminates the cookie-cutter approach to treatment by
first assessing a patient’s individual underlying issues that often
co-occur with addiction, developing a personalized, collaborative
treatment plan, and providing tailored interventions by a highly trained
team operating on a low patient-to-staff ratio. Ongoing recovery
management and monitoring are available through RCA’s iPlan, which
provides customized clinical treatment under the guidance of a licensed
clinician, medical director, and personal case manager.

Treatment regimens incorporate yoga, spinning, tennis, music and art
therapies, peer recovery support services, personal fitness training,
and massage therapy. The facility is designed to offer an executive
component geared toward business leaders who need to run their business
while in treatment. The facility will provide access to technology, and
other amenities to suit executives’ needs. Patients will have access to
conveniences commensurate to a five-star hotel including: farm-to-table
dining, beautifully decorated lounge areas and rooms, a business center,
a heliport, and access to private aircraft transportation.

Bracebridge Hall is led by an expert leadership team with extensive
clinical and program development experience including:

  • Barb Kistenmacher, Ph.D., leads the team as CEO. She has over
15 years of behavioral health experience as a therapist, supervisor,
    director, and executive director.
  • Mark Harris, D.O., serves as medical director and brings
more than 25 years of experience as a family care physician and
    addiction treatment professional.
  • Kristine Hitchens, Ph.D., serves as clinical director, bringing
21 years of experience treating patients with addiction as a
clinician, supervisor, director, and patient advocate.
  • Joyce Bilski, R.N., serves as director of nursing and brings
more than 10 years of industry experience to the position.
  • Victorine Hutson, M.J., serves as director of admissions,
bringing 12 years of experience assisting individuals and families in
    recovery.
  • Lori Cichocki serves as director of operations after 21 years
at MBNA/Bank of America, where she served on the team managing MBNA’s
fleet (helicopter, vehicles, jets, etc.), and in the vice president’s
    insourcing/procurement department.

“As a Cecil County native, I am honored to be on the ground leading the
fight against an epidemic that is stealing our loved ones,” says Dr.
Kistenmacher. “Bracebridge Hall will provide those in need of treatment
a secluded, relaxing, and private setting with effective, dignified care
as they battle substance use disorders.”
