SCAN Health Plan Expands Provider Network in Los Angeles County With Addition of AltaMed Health Services
LONG BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SCAN Health Plan announced today that AltaMed Health Services has joined
the Medicare Advantage plan’s provider network, effective February 1. As
a result, SCAN members in Los Angeles County now have access to an
expanded network of board-certified, bilingual primary care and
specialty physicians.
With a focus on underserved communities, AltaMed is one of Southern

providers of all-inclusive medical and social services for seniors. One

that helps dual-eligible members navigate the complex Web of Medicare
and Medi-Cal services. SCAN’s innovative PAL unit is comprised of a team
of bilingual experts trained extensively in the intricacies of Medicare
