SCE to Educate Business Customers, Nonprofit Leaders About Utility Phone Scam

Since January, more than 2,100 Southern California Edison customers have received utility phone scam calls. During that period, 139 customers were scammed out of nearly $109,000. SCE’s customer service manager and local law enforcement will meet customers with faith-based groups and nonprofit business leaders to educate them about the utility phone scam, how it works, how to recognize it and what to do to avoid becoming a victim. |
