Sessions College Honors Family Military Hero with Design Scholarship

TEMPE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sessions
College for Professional Design
 is delighted to announce the
reopening of the Louis H. Schilt Memorial Scholarship for disabled
veterans and spouses. The scholarship was first established in 2008 by
the owners of Sessions College to honor their inspirational family
member and to recognize the substantial sacrifices made by service
members and their families. More than 20 scholarships were awarded between
2008 – 2012.

Louis H. Schilt, awarded a Purple Heart for his service, continues to
inspire through the memorial scholarship program.

Retraining for a new professional career after the trauma of an injury
can be a serious challenge. The Louis H. Schilt Memorial
Scholarship offers the selected recipient the chance to develop skills
in the visual communications industry.

“My Dad was the epitome of a service member who gave uncomplaining
service to his country, in spite of losing his eyes in combat during
World War II,” commented Louis J. Schilt, investor and EVP of Sessions
College. “I saw the personal struggle my Dad experienced in finding his
way after his injury. As an educator, I understand how transforming a
chance at a new career can be.” Read
