Bárbara Palacios, winner of Miss Universe 1986, shares from the heart
and invites us to live out our days to the fullest on El Universo de
Inspiracion. Recognized by People Magazine as one of the most
powerful women of 2014, Bárbara is a living example that total
well-being and beauty are developed from the inside out. She is the
author of “The Beauty of Knowing how to Live” and “Far from my Shadow,
Close to the Light,” which are based on her incredible personal life
experiences, communicating her spiritual beliefs of family values, and
experiences around the world through an inspirational platform to
positively influence people and impact their lives. An author and
international speaker, Bárbara simultaneously developed an intense and
productive career in the television industry in the US and abroad, as
well as a spokesperson for a variety of companies.
Bárbara is a highly respected public figure with an impeccable
reputation. Living most of her life in Caracas, Venezuela, she moved to
the US with her family in 2000 and currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Barbara was most recently recognized by the U.S. Congress as one of the
most influential and respected Latina women in the US, contributing to
the promotion of Hispanic heritage in America.

Born in Santo Domingo, D.N., Cristian was introduced to baseball at four
years old and found interest in all sports at early age. His favorite
teams are the Aguilas Cibaeñas and New York trifecta of Yankees, Giants
and Knicks. Earning his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass
Communications at Universidad Catolica Santo Domingo (UCSD), Cristian
combined his degree and love of sports by becoming a journalist and
covering nearly every major sport for print, television and radio. Since
2012 he has been with ESPN Deportes serving as play-by-play and color
commentator for ESPN Beisbol. He is also a reporter for Zona ESPN. He is
the head sports reporter for Grandes en los Deportes, the top sports
radio show in Dominican Republic, as well as an active contributor to
ESPNDeportes.com. In 2015 he began co-hosting “El Locker Room ESPN”
alongside Rafael Bello and Carolina Cadillo.
