Top eSports Personalities of OpTic Gaming Stream Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare in the 2016 Race to Prestige

Event Proceeds to Support the Call of Duty Endowment’s Mission to
Place Veterans into High-Quality Jobs

SANTA MONICA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–OpTic
Gaming
will be featured in the Call of Duty Endowment’s 2016 Race to
Prestige, an around-the-clock, relay-style video game marathon sponsored
exclusively by Best
Buy
, which is sponsoring for the second-straight year. The event
will be streamed live from OpTic
Gaming House
in the Chicago area starting on November 3, 2016, at
2:00 PM CDT on Call of Duty®’s official Twitch
channel and on MLG.tv.
It also can be followed on Twitter through the hashtag #RaceToPrestige.
It will run continuously through November 7, 2016, at 8:00 AM CDT. This
year, the gamers will take on Call
of Duty®: Infinite Warfare
, the highly anticipated new release
from the Call of Duty® franchise.

The Race to Prestige is gaming with a purpose: OpTic Gaming is raising
money for the Call
of Duty Endowment
(“the Endowment”), which identifies and funds
best-in-class veteran organizations that get unemployed veterans back to
work. The gamers have teamed up with stream-for-charity website Tiltify,
which prompts audience members to donate as they watch. Every cent
received by the Call of Duty Endowment will go directly to funding
veteran employment programs. To sweeten the pot, Best Buy is providing
500 Gamers Club Unlocked memberships to viewers who donate $25 to the
Call of Duty Endowment. Additionally, Activision Blizzard has pledged it
will match up to $500,000 in donations.

Since 2009, the Endowment has funded the placement of over 29,000
veterans into high quality jobs, and it recently committed to placing a
total of 50,000 veterans by 2019. Organizations supported by the
Endowment had an average cost-per-placement of $596 in 2015—less than
one-fifth the cost of federal placement programs.

“Even as national unemployment numbers go down, the number of young
unemployed veterans asking for help continues to rise. Today, young
veterans are out of work at a disproportional rate of three times the
national average,” said Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call
of Duty Endowment. “Every dollar received by the Endowment from the Race
to Prestige goes directly to solving this issue and placing veterans
into quality jobs. We’re grateful for the overwhelming support from the
Call of Duty community, OpTic, Activision Blizzard, Best Buy, and all
who participate in the Race to Prestige.”

“We are excited and honored to team with the Call of Duty Endowment, as
well as our veterans in finding fulfilling careers,” said Hector “H3CZ”
Rodriguez of OpTic Gaming. “They gave everything in defense of our
freedom and we’re going to rally the power of the Green Wall to show our
thank you.”

Since its start in 2003, the Call of Duty® franchise continues to be
among the most highly anticipated game launches. Call of Duty®:
Infinite Warfare
is developed by Infinity Ward and published by
Activision. The game is set to be released for PlayStation®4 computer
entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment
system from Microsoft and PC on Friday, November 4, 2016.
