UBS’s Paula Polito and Dawn Fitzpatrick Named to the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance by American Banker

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Two UBS Group Managing Directors have been named among the 25 Most
Powerful Women in Finance by American Banker magazine. Paula Polito,
Client Strategy Officer of UBS Wealth Management Americas, and Dawn
Fitzpatrick, Global Head and CIO of UBS O’Connor, were honored for their
business acumen, personal and professional achievements. The 13th annual
ranking recognizes women whose outstanding performance is driving change
in the non-bank finance sector, including capital markets, asset
management, investment banking and card networks.

“Leaders like Dawn and Paula set a great example for all of us and
typify the standard of excellence we strive for at UBS,” said Bob
McCann, President Americas, UBS. “I’m proud to join colleagues from
across our businesses in congratulating them on this important
recognition.”

Throughout her 35-year career, Paula Polito has held a variety of roles
at different firms and been an active speaker and supporter of the
wealth management industry. While marketing and strategy are her
cornerstone, at UBS she has had the opportunity to run four specialized
businesses: Institutional Consulting, Retirement Plan Consulting
Services, Equity Plan Advisory Services, and the UBS Wealth Advice
Center for emerging affluent clients. Polito found creative ways to
innovate in each business and unlock their potential for future growth.

“I am honored to be recognized by American Banker and proud to be in
such good company with my dear friend and colleague, Dawn Fitzpatrick.
Being at UBS has given me and many other women tremendous
opportunities,” said Polito.

As Global Head and Chief Investment Officer of O’Connor, Dawn
Fitzpatrick is responsible for the investment, risk and business
decisions at the single manager hedge fund platform of UBS Global Asset
Management. Dawn was recently selected to join the esteemed Federal
Reserve’s Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets, a forum of
14 leaders in the investment community. They discuss financial, economic
and public policy issues and help inform the New York Fed president and
senior management. Fitzpatrick is also a member of 100 Women in Hedge
Funds, a global organization focused on educational programming and
philanthropy.

“I’m grateful to American Banker for recognizing the achievements of
myself and Paula. It’s a privilege for us to be ranked with inspiring
leaders in the industry,” said Fitzpatrick.
