Vindicia to Host Webinar on May 17 to Discuss Consumer Attitudes Toward Online Subscription Services
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Vindicia, a leader in enterprise-class subscription billing, will host a
webinar on Tuesday, May 17 from 1–2 p.m. ET (10–11 a.m. PT) in which
Bryta Schulz, Vindicia senior vice president of marketing, and Chris
Lawrence, director of research for Widmeyer Communications, will discuss
the results of the Consumer Demand for Value-added Subscription
Services survey.
Commissioned by Vindicia, Widmeyer surveyed 1,000 adult participants who
subscribe to at least one paid service for the purpose of determining
consumer interest in value-added subscription services. Data from the
study shows that consumers exhibit a collective interest in added
benefits from a subscription, and that they are willing to pay for those
perks. These benefits from a subscription package can include anything
from discounts and exclusive offers to access to premium content and
events.
During the webinar, Schulz and Lawrence will discuss the implications
these new findings have on subscription services and will examine in
depth some of the survey’s key findings, which include:
-
76 percent of consumers are willing to pay $3.99 extra each month for
a subscription that gives them special access to premium content or
members-only benefits, with that percentage increasing to 84 percent
if the price is set at just $1.99. -
More than four of ten participants said that they use their most
frequent subscription service 16 hours a week or more, with audio
topping the list of most-frequented services.-
Audio also topped the list of most upgraded services. Fifty
percent of participants who have upgraded from a freemium to a
premium subscription have done so with an audio service offering.
