competition last month. In conjunction with Mother’s Day, Watercrest of

their mothers for the wonderful things they do each and every day. Over
100 students from first to fifth grade entered the competition to
describe their favorite attributes and moments with their mothers.

The residents of Watercrest of Lake Nona carefully reviewed each
submission and a winner was chosen in each grade level. Winners include
Shannon McInerney, Juhi Shah, Malak Al-khaled, Anna Penner and Brooke
Myre. The students described their mother’s as “kind, inspirational, a
good listener” and thanked them for “reading books, playing board games,
taking care of the family and always supporting them in tough times.”
Each student’s essay included a lovely color illustration of themselves
with their mothers.
