WEST ELM OPENS IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS JUNE 30

Retailer Showcases Regional Makers and Artisans at Unique Pearl
District Location

BROOKLYN, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Home furnishings retailer West
Elm
today announced its new store opening in San Antonio’s Pearl
District on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m., bringing approximately 30 jobs
to the area. The 11,000-square-foot-store is housed in a revitalized
warehouse across from the thriving Pearl Brewing district, a 16-block
pedestrian-friendly cultural redevelopment neighborhood. West Elm’s
seventh Texas store features the brand’s unique fall assortment for
modern living, a selection of Texas made goods, and a signature Design
Lab with complimentary design services.

“This area of the River City has a long and special history with San
Antonians – from manufacturing to entertainment,” said West Elm
president Jim Brett. “We hope our new store renews that sense of place
and community, while serving as a unique source of inspiration for the
Pearl District.”

To celebrate the opening, West Elm partnered with San
Antonio-based artist Himanshu
Sharma
to design an exclusive tote bag, presented to the first 300
shoppers with a $50 minimum purchase. Additional store opening
activities include a sweepstakes*
offering local customers a chance to win a $2,000 gift card and an
invitation to a private pre-opening celebration on Wednesday, June 29
from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. to benefit Artpace.
