The latest reboot of The Fantastic Four has received scathing criticism for its choice of actors, and ScreenRant noted in August that the director, Josh Trank), was really the only aspect of the new film that hardcore comic book fans have approved of. Jordan as the Human Torch. Despite the criticism (which isn’t surprising for a comic book superhero movie with an established fan base), the new teaser trailer already has Marvel fans itching with anticipation for the film’s August release date. Dr. Franklin Storm (Reg E. Cathey) delivers a grave voiceover monologue in the trailer as fans get their first peek at the new Fantastic Four characters. “But with every new discovery, there is risk, there is sacrifice, and there are consequences,” Dr. Storm says, right before the trailer flies through snippets of action, including massive explosions and the Human Torch bursting into flame. It’s been a great year for Mexican film director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu and the release of his 2014 dark comedy film “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)” starring Michael Keaton and Emma Stone. SEE ALSO: Gina Rodriguez nabs Golden Globe for dreaming big Much like Alfonso Cuaron’s success with “Gravity” at the 2014 Oscars, where it lead with 10 nods, Iñarritu’s flick leads this year’s awards show with nine nominations. Best Picture Best Actor in a Leading Role – Michael Keaton Best Actor in a Supporting Role – Edward Norton Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Emma Stone Best Cinematography – Emmanuel Best Directing – Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu Best Sound Editing Best Sound Mixing Best Writing – Original Screenplay Though we’re sure winning all nine would be of great achievement for the director and his team, what we’re highly rooting for is the win of Best Picture. “Birdman” is up for the title against “American Sniper,” “The Imitation Game,” “Selma,” “Boyhood,” “The Theory of Everything,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Whiplash.” It would also be great if he garners the title for Best Director, becoming the second Mexicano to win the prestige honor at the Oscars. All eyes are already set on the Latino director after taking home two wins at the 2015 Golden Globes for Best Screenplay in a Motion Picture and Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical by Michael Keaton. And to think that Iñarritu –who directed drama films “Babel,” “21 Grams” and “Amores Perros”– doubted many times of this production. “I’m very happy and proud of sharing with these friends this profound and fun experience,” he said of his crew at the Golden Globe press room. “If you knew our work before, you’d never think this was a good idea…to make a comedy. We’re not funny guys, we laugh a lot about tragic things,” he added. Whatever the outcome, we’re pretty sure that “Birdman” won’t leave empty handed at this year’s movie event taking place on February 22nd. The pegao’ which is the Puerto Rican popcorn –the rice at the bottom of the pan,” Dawson stated about her favorite holiday dish. “Just being with family and opening crazy presents. I just know people don’t get me presents…they just know I like bubble wraps,” she continued. Another one of Dawson’s favorite traditions is taking the time off to “veg out” in video games. The Latina starlet says the holidays are the perfect time to reflect and share stories with her loved ones. This year, she and her family have a new tradition in stock. “We’re gonna bring out my grandma’s tree which I grew up with since I was very little. Since she’s passed, we haven’t really used any of that stuff and this is gonna be year,” she said. But before the countdown to Christmas begins, Dawson is presenting her latest film with comedian and actor Chris Rock called “Top Five.” In the film she plays Chelsea Brown, a witty and passionate reporter who’s assigned to write a story about Chris Rock’s character. “She’s an awesome New Yorker! A true bonafide, super cool, modern day woman. Stylish, multi talented and quintessential New Yorker,” Dawson said of her character. Written and directed by Chris Rock, “Top Five” is the movie to watch this holiday season. Pixar President Jim Morris recently spoke at the Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, revealing the details and the  setting for the upcoming “Finding Nemo” sequel, “Finding Dory.” SEE ALSO: Pixar Sequels Draw Bigger Role in Company’s Future Surprisingly  the bulk of the movie will not take place in the ocean but in another aquatic location although some of the action will take place in the ocean. The majority of the film will take place at the Marine Biology Institute of California, which is apparently where Dory was born and raised before she was released into the wild at a young age. The movie follows Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) on a quest to remember her past and find her parents. Set several months after its predecessor, Marlin, Nemo and Dory all live together on the same reef. Dory accompanies Nemo on a school field trip, when memories of her past and family are triggered. They travel to  California to find Dory’s parents. Dory’s father, Charlie, will be voiced by Eugene Levy and Dory’s mother, Jenny, will be voiced by Diane Keaton. A Beluga whale named Bailey will be voiced by Ty Burrell. Some sea lions and an octopus are confirmed among other new characters to appear in the film. Setting the film at the Marine Biology Institute of California gives fuel to the rumors that the ending of the film will reflect a more “environmentally friendly” attitude attributed to the documentary “Blackfish.” As a Pixar employee told the New York Times back in August of 2013, the fish and mammals that occupy a “marine park” in the movie will “have the option to leave” after being taken there.
