Chilean alternative rock band La Ley left fans wanting more of their music after their split in 2005, myself included. With their farewell, they left a mass of great hits to remember them by such as “Mentira” and “Fuera De Mi.”

La Ley, however, was not ready to say goodbye entirely and that’s why they are making a strong comeback right before they mark 10-years off the music scene.

“After nearly 10 years we are back, putting an end to the recess that culminated a stage of 16 years of uninterrupted work,” singer Beto Cuevas said, according to a press release.

After parting, the band focused on solo projects, including frontman Cuevas who for many years had success as a soloist following the split.

But like every true and iconic Latin rock band, it’s time for a comeback and the Chilenos are making it known with a fresh production called “Retour.”

The album, debuting on May 13th under Warner Music Latina, is a compilation of their best hits in their long-running trajectory which began in 1987.

This includes a couple blast from the past such as “El Duelo,” “Dia Cero” and “Amate y Salvate.”

Retour” also includes the brand new song “Olvidar,” an emotional and melancholic track that symbolizes the group’s philosophical existence in 2014.

In addition, the multiple GRAMMY award-winning band embarked a promotional tour in the U.S.

Their first performance in almost a decade will be on May 7th at MO Bar + Lounge in Miami, Fla.

They will follow delighting fans with their very-much awaited comeback in San Diego, Los Angeles, El Paso and other cities.

“We returned with the courage to leave the past behind, walking in the “here and now” and displaying a new stage in this long journey,” Cuevas stated.

This only marks the beginning of hopefully more great music and tours coming from La Ley’s Beto Cuevas, Pedro Frugone and Mauricio Claveria.
