She began as a Mexican soap opera star then managed to reinvent herself as a Hollywood movie star, producer and Oscar nominee.

She spends the rest of her time between being a devoted wife to François- Henri Pinault, CEO of the luxury conglomerate Kering, mother to their daughter, Valentina, and for the rest of the world, she is an outspoken activist, passionately campaigning for womens rights through her involvement in the charity Chime for Change.
She recently appeared on the cover of the digital magazine Net-a-Porters latest issue with a gorgeous black-and-white spread, showing that her beauty is natural as is her talent and consistent dedication to whatever pursuit she happens to set her mind to.

I never exercised my whole life, but now I do yoga. I was always borderline chubby, because I like my food and, frankly, I like my wine. I have to say, Im pushing 50 but I feel great. I looked worse in my youth! Im in good shape right now, Hayek told Net-a-Porter’s The Edit.

This is by far the busiest I have been in my life. The funny thing is that I really dont even understand how [it all] came about. Maybe because when you dont want something as much, youre not desperate. You will see some of the best work of my life this year, because Ive had the opportunity; because [the directors] gave me the roles.
She has five films out in 2015: the thriller Everly, the animated film The Prophet, the baroque fantasy Tale of Tales, the drama Septembers of Shiraz, and the fabulously titled rom-com, How To Make Love Like An Englishman, in which she stars alongside Jessica Alba and Pierce Brosnan.

If you think about it, Im limited by the way I talk and by the way I look. Im 48 years old. Amazing, talented people [stop finding work] at 32, 33 sometimes! Not so much in London, but in the US its crazy. Also, for those who have never seen me in person Im quite short. I have an overly… wavy body. Im not like the girl next door who is easy to cast. I dont fit into any of the stereotypes of a woman that should continue to work. I dont know what it is, but I don’t think it has anything to do with planning. It has something to do with karma, maybe. I believe in karma.
