With his too-good-to-be-true features, modeling portrait and acting talents, it’s no wonder that William Levy has become a household name for both Spanish and English markets.

From melting hearts in telenovelas to storming the dance floor in “Dancing with the Stars,” Levy has now added a new venture to his resume –the face of an alcoholic beverage.

As the new face of the drink Miami Club Rum, the Cuban actor confessed an interesting drinking anecdote from back in the days.

“I was 9 years old, I was in Cuba, and we went to a place called ‘La Costa,’” he admitted to Televisa’s show Hoy. “At that time there was a sparkling wine that was very sweet.”

“I was 9, and I saw a glass there and I saw everyone enjoying it as they drank…when I tried it, it tasted so good, so sweet, that I ended up drinking the whole bottle,” he added. “I drank the whole thing and I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was so dizzy, looking at all my surroundings.”

And now you know, that Levy first got drunk when he was underage in his hometown.

The “Addicted” star also talked about his new journey as a business man. He revealed that was never interested in partnering with anyone, but accepted to join Miami Club Rum once he became familiarized with the rum, how it was made and the label’s concept.

Levy also reached to social media to express how grateful he is with this opportunity and this new stage.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and see some really great spirits traditions. To me it is obvious that it was time for Miami to have her own locally made rum. This is the capital of the Americas and I am very excited about not only partnering with these guys but also to really put my personal touch into the branding strategy. This is my city, my rum!”

And for the record, Levy, now 34, is a social drinker, having a drink or two of rum. Let’s toast to that with a classic borrachera song.
