Is alien life out there? This is the one million dollar question that humanity has been posing since the dawn of times. Every few years -sometimes every few months- there is “news” of sightings, pictures of odd flying objects, and theories of conspiracy, most of the times with the tag Area 51 somewhere in the mix.
The latest news comes from a video featuring Texas resident Boyd Bushman, a former Lockheed Martin and Texas Instruments engineer who died Aug. 7 at the age of 78, describing his encounters with “aliens” while working at Area 51. The video confession was made public shortly before his death, and one can only hope that deathbed confessions are the only time we are going to hear the truth and nothing but the truth.
In the video, supposedly shot by aerospace engineer Mark Q. Patterson and posted Oct. 21, Bushman shows several out-of-focus photos taken with a disposable camera of what he claims are aliens.

Bushman claimed the “aliens” are about five feet tall and use telepathy to communicate with others while flying saucer-shaped aircraft. The Lewisville native described most of the “aliens” he encountered as “friendly” while showing photos of their dead bodies. Bushman then detailed incidents with aliens at Roswell, presenting what he said was photo evidence of the extraterrestrial beings: They have three back bones. Theyre actually cartilage.
Bushman said that the aliens had fingers and toes like humans, but claimed they communicated in a much more advanced way.
Theyre able to use their own voice by telepathy to talk to you, he said. You walk in the room with one of them, and all of a sudden you find yourself giving the answer to your question in your own voice.”
He also said that the alien planet is some 65 light-years away from Earth, but can be traveled to in under an hour using alien technology.
According to a Texas news outlet, a biography accessed through an Internet archiving site appeared to validate claims that Bushman worked at Lockheed Martin, saying he worked in advanced aircraft concepts.

The video has been refuted as a hoax, one of thousands in the world of aliens and extraterrestrial life. Could Bushman be telling the truth? Is it all a ruse?
I will never believe in the existence of alien life until I see a US President shaking hands with one of them at the White House. In the meantime it’s all speculations.
But do I think it is possible that there are aliens out there? YES
Do I believe it is probable? YES
Considering the size of the universe, it’s preposterous to think that we are alone.

Signs that the first encounter is approaching
1) Ever wonder why the former Pope resigned so suddenly -only happened once before in the history of the Catholic church- and the Church elected a new Pope, one that the church would have never, ever elected?
Following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI on 28 February 2013, a papal conclave elected Bergoglio as his successor on March 13. He chose Francis as his papal name in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. Francis is the first Jesuit pope, the first from the Americas, the first from the Southern Hemisphere and the first non-European pope since the Syrian Gregory III in 741, 1,272 years earlier.
The church, like a Fortune 500 company, needed a new leader, in tune with the new times and the ones that lays ahead. They had to go with a liberal, one that could “justify” a change of heading without arising many questions.
The church is redirecting its doctrine, and the flock will follow without ever noticing.

2) Many are talking about a time line until the first encounter: 20 years. I cannot refute nor back the calendar but if we put two and two together, I think the moment is approaching and a telltale sign is coming from the Catholic Church. For decades the Vatican has convened some of the brightest minds in the scientific community around the world to ponder the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and to prepare a public disclosure on behalf of the Catholic Church in case the existence of aliens is confirmed.
The church is not in a hurry. Its timing does not resemble the one in Wall Street, where companies have to present profits every quarter. The church has decades and centuries to establish its plans. It works very carefully, measuring every step. After all, and as a good example of “church timing”, the Vatican formally and publicly cleared Galileo of any wrongdoing in 1992 — 359 years after condemning him for asserting that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
Many scientists affirm were not far from establishing the First Contact, given the advances made is astronomy. Because of this, the Vatican wishes to be ready with a statement. It might not be a easy task for the church to interpret holy scriptureif not analyzed properlyif life is found on other planets and man is not the only creature made in the image of God.
This past March the Vatican Observatory and the University of Arizona organized a conference held in Tucson to discuss the advances made in the search for extraterrestrial life. The conference was inspired by the rapid discovery of planets, new findings on the thresholds of extreme conditions at which life on Planet Earth can survive, and new technology designed for the search of life on exoplanets.
3) A few days ago while speaking at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, Pope Francis declared that the Big Bang theory doesnt negate the need for a divine power, but rather it requires it.
So, 2014 years telling us that the creation was the only way to go and now the Big Bang and evolution is OK?
This is not something a Pope will say out of the blue. Every word the church puts out is measured, weighted, examined. This astounding declaration only has one purpose: to redirect us, little by little, towards the road that ends on a alien encounter.

So when the moment comes -be in 20 or 40 years or 100 years- the Catholic philosophy will be in tune with a new world, one in which we are not the only creatures of God, but one of many.
