Children’s Scholarship Fund Event Celebrates Opportunities for New Hampshire Students

CONCORD, N.H.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF), an approved scholarship-granting
organization in New Hampshire, will celebrate the impact of the state’s
education tax credit law in providing scholarships for low-income
students with a reception at the Grappone Conference Center in
Concord from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 28.

The event is timed to coincide with National School Choice Week (January
24-30, 2016), the largest series of education-related events in U.S.
history.

The reception will spotlight the children and families who benefit from
scholarships funded through the New Hampshire Education Tax Credit
Scholarship Program and previously managed by the Network for
Educational Opportunity. CSF will now administer these scholarships in
the Granite State.

CSF is a national organization with a network of partner programs across
the country and an 18-year track record of success, providing
scholarships that empower low-income families to choose the schools that
best fit their children’s needs, regardless of their income or ZIP code.
Since its inception in 1998, CSF has awarded more than $654 million in
scholarships to the families of 152,000 low-income children. For more
information on CSF, visit www.scholarshipfund.org
and www.csfnewhampshire.org.

At the event, scholarship recipients and parents from New Hampshire will
be on hand to share the program’s impact on their lives, and CSF
President Darla M. Romfo will deliver remarks about the program.

“This reception marks a new chapter for parental choice in New
Hampshire, and we are so excited to host it during National School
Choice Week, when parents and students all over the country are
celebrating their education options,” said Kate Baker, executive
director of CSF’s New Hampshire operations. Baker added, “Across the
nation, these scholarships are changing lives, empowering families to
put their children on the path to a brighter future.”

The event is expected to draw more than 50 CSF supporters, scholarship
recipient families, legislators, school choice activists, and others.
